- Account data: email address, name, and profile details you provide when signing up (including via Google sign-in).
- Resume & career data: resumes you upload, extracted text, target roles, job matches, application pipeline entries, and interview prep content you generate.
- Usage data: how you interact with Applycot features (for example, feed searches and feature usage) to operate and improve the product.
- Billing data: subscription status and related identifiers. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers on Applycot servers.
2. How We Use Information
- Provide matching, resume tailoring, application drafting, and interview prep.
- Personalize your live job feed and upskill suggestions.
- Authenticate your account and keep the product secure.
- Process subscriptions, promo redemptions, and related billing events.
- Respond to support requests and improve Applycot over time.
3. AI Processing
Resume text and job-related content may be sent to AI providers (such as OpenAI) to generate analysis, match scores, tailored resumes, drafts, and prep content. Use these outputs as assistance only — review them before sending applications or sharing externally.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data or uploaded resumes. We may share limited data with service providers that help us run Applycot (for example hosting, authentication, AI, payments, and email), only as needed to provide the service. We may disclose information if required by law.
5. Retention & Deletion
We retain account and career data while your account is active. You can delete your account from Settings; we will remove associated personal data subject to legal or operational retention needs (for example, billing records).
6. Security
We use industry-standard practices to protect your data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use a strong password and protect your login.
7. Children’s Privacy
Applycot is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of Applycot after updates means you accept the revised policy.
